Yo Gabba Gabba Felt
I was disappointed that Nick Jr. doesn't offer mini stuffed characters of Yo Gabba Gabba (much less any other types of toys). So I created something small for the babies to play with:

Tulle Skirt
(from FamilyFun website http://familyfun.go.com/crafts/no-sew-tutu-796121/)
Packaged rolls of tulle (available in the wedding aisle of many craft stores) make this dress-up darling a cinch to fashion. Simply tie snipped strips to an elastic band for a fancy-dance accessory that's just right for ballet class or an after-dinner show.
Materials
· Elastic headband or a piece of elastic cut to fit your child's waist, with the ends tied together
· 2 (6-inch-wide) rolls of colorful tulle
· Satin ribbon (optional)
Instructions
1. To start, stretch the elastic band around a pot or wide book. Cut a 14-inch length of tulle from each roll. Stack the two pieces and tie them onto the elastic band as shown. Continue adding strips in this way until the elastic band is covered.
2. Have your child try on the tutu. Add more tulle, if necessary, then even out the ends with scissors, if needed. For an even more fanciful look, we tied on about a dozen 15-inch lengths of satin ribbon.
I had no problems making this skirt, I may have used too much tulle but still like the end result!

Whoooo made this quilt?
I DID! I DID! I finally finished this toddler sized quilt!
I fell in love with the owl pattern
Pickles likes it too!
Here is the finished product. 4 by 4 squares surrounded by 3 inch and 2 inch strips.
I can't begin to explain how to quilt except that if you've never done it buy the book:
The only thing I'd say about this quilt is that the owl fabric faces one direction so I had to buy two pieces to cut horizontal and vertical which was a pain! Friday, September 16, 2011
There's a stain on my glass
I'm addicted to making stained glass patterns with liquid window color (maybe it goes back to my puffy paint days?). I found this in the hobby store by the glass/mosiac isle. All you need to do is find a stained glass pattern online and print it. Then I buy or find a piece of glass to trace the pattern on. With a steady hand you can create anything!
Here are a few things I've done:
The Front Door:
Tea Lights: (I added dots to them)
Outdoor Lanterns:
Here are a few things I've done:
The Front Door:
These were the glass inserts for the door. I found a frosted glass color. This photo was how it looked before it dried.
The finished product. It looked better in person than in this photo.
Tea Lights: (I added dots to them)
Outdoor Lanterns:
*extreme heat can move/melt the color as I found with these lanterns. Make sure to wait for the color to dry for 24 hours!

Hair Bow Chicken Pox
I wanted to create a different type of hair bow that was unique. So I purchased some iron on jewels and decided to stick them onto a bow. I'm pretty satisfied with the results.
*purchased at Hobby Lobby
I had to stick a pot holder under the bow so that when I ironed it on it didn't flatten the bow. I held the iron on each individual gem for 15-30 seconds
I was starting to think that the bow had chicken pox here.
But then loved the results in the end!
