Our second birthday came and went. And for one week I hand-made a bunch of elements to incorporate into our Gabba theme.
Party Hat: I used foam and decided to make the heads of the gabba characters. This is Foofa:
Cut the head shape first,
then eyes and pupils,
added her petal necklace,
and this is the finished Foofa. I did her nose and mouth with pink sharpie.
This is the end product. I did it because I did not want to buy Yo Gabba Gabba party supplies online (cuz they aren't sold in stores).
Here's the cake and cupcakes I made to go with the hats:

Owl pillow to go with our owl quilt
First I used 4 different colors of fleece that I found in the scrap bin at the craft store (total spent: <5 dollars)
I cut out a owl shape
Then cut out some wings, I fit them to the brown owl shape.
Piece of fabric from the owl quilt
I used the owl fabric as the belly
Then placed the wings over it
Made circles on fabric for the eyes (and small black circles for the pupils).
Added it together and realized I needed a beak.
Now I just needed to sew it
DONE! One owl pillow for one owl quilt
I'm pretty pleased with it.

Valentines Day Project
This is a great toddler/child valentine project. All you need are: Heart doilies (dollar store), stickers (we used foam and foil stickers), crayons/markers, glue, paper, and scissors.
And this is what it looks like in the end:
